New Mac, new life

I bought myself a new laptop the other week from the Apple refurb site. I saved about £300 on what can simply be called an amazing laptop.

I opted for the 15 inch model for portability's sake. The battery life is great as is the speed. The screen is crisp and matt so no reflections.

Drupal blog App

I used the wordpress blogging app for the iPhone a few months ago and decided that I'd love one for drupal. So far I haven't found one so unless anyone else does one in the next month or so I'll start work on one. I need to plan the feature set before diving into code so if you stumble by this page and have suggestions, please leave a comment or use the site contact form to put forward your ideas.

Upgrades are fun aren't they

This site has now been upgraded to the latest Drupal 6 installation. I have been very lax over the last year regarding the content on this site despite telling clients that keeping content up to date was one of the most important aspects of a site.

I decided to upgrade my own site to drupal 6 as a testbed for the platform. I have had my eye on d6 for some time but it didn't seem ready to use for production sites at the time. I don't run many modules on my site as there is simply no need which means I have an ideal place to ease my way across to the new version.
